So You Want to Be a Service Designer - Service Design Thinking and Doing for UXers

As a UXer you’ll map digital journeys, sweat the details of interaction and of course, test your early ideas early and often with users. As a service designer you need a whole new mindset – to figure out whether or not the things you’re making should exist in the first place, whether or not the business has the desire and ability deliver them, and how the whole shooting match hangs together across different channels, stakeholders and touchpoints. We’ll talk about why now is the right time to expand your skillset, how to make the transition from UX and some practical tips on where to start.
